BDO's M&A team acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Fanger Kies + Beton AG in the context of the sale to Holcim (Schweiz) AG. This included the preparation of the sales documentation, approach of potential buyers, support during the buyer's due diligence, negotiations as well as the entire process management until the closing of the transaction.
Fanger Kies + Beton AG has been active in the extraction, processing and refinement of gravel, concrete and recycling products since the 1950s and was a subsidiary of Saxula AG. Due to the upcoming succession plan, Saxula AG has decided to focus on its core competencies and to sell Fanger Kies + Beton AG and transfer it to new ownership.
The buyer is Holcim (Schweiz) AG, based in Würenlingen, Canton Aargau. The company is one of the largest producers of building materials in the world. The company produces concrete, cement and gravel at around 55 locations in Switzerland.
