Women open up new perspectives

A diversified approach has become a central factor in problem solving. Women often bring with them completely different experiences, approaches and perspectives that can be of major benefit in creatively and successfully meeting new challenges. As women make up around 46 percent of our personnel, both we and our clients benefit greatly from this broader perspective. At the same time, however, women are underrepresented at BDO's senior management level. That is why we have launched a project aimed at more effectively promoting women in their professional careers. In addition, we place special emphasis on women when recruiting new members of staff. This integrated approach has already begun to bear fruit: the proportion of women occupying high-level management positions has doubled in recent years.

International network and experience

We are convinced that the needs of an internationally-oriented client based can best be served by employees with international experience. In this regard, the BDO Network – one of the world’s leading associations of independent auditing and consulting companies in over 100 countries – acts as an ideal platform. We have a deliberate policy of placing our employees on extended foreign assignments. In addition, our specialists from a broad range of areas regularly attend conferences within the network, in order to facilitate the exchange of international know-how and to develop personal relationships.
